Description
Apparatus type unknown, described elements basically nongeniculate, laterally compressed, lamellar, coniform with proclined to suberect cusp and wide, more or less triangular base, base flaring toward one side. In some, both anterior and posterior edges of base with small number of short denticles. Basal cavity deep, extending in some elements halfway to tip of cusp. [Hamarodus elements exhibit similarity to those of Distomodus; however, it seems unlikely that these genera are closely related.]
